✷ WORDS OF MOUTH ANTHOLOGY UPDATE ✷
Happy spring from the northern hemisphere. As we speak Search Work—made with and for the Words of Mouth community—is making its way into the world. I know this because people keep sending me pictures of their copy sitting on a counter, or in their disembodied hands, or next to their smiling face. I welcome these photos, as well as any thoughts you have as you make your way through the book.
A few things to know!
If you still haven’t ordered a copy, you can do so straight from the publisher. They’re shipping now. (It will be available more widely in late May.)
If you’re in New York and couldn’t make it to our wonderful launch event, we’re having a little three-borough book tour (copies will be available at all events):
MANHATTAN: Friday, April 24th (tomorrow!), SVA D-Crit, (136 West 21st St.) 5:30pm: Hosted by School of Visual Arts’ MA Design Research, Writing & Criticism (D-Crit), MFA Design for Social Innovation, and MFA Interaction Design programs. I’ll be joined by designer Elaine Lopez and D-Crit alum Ailsa Petrie. Register here!
BROOKLYN: Thursday, May 14th, Adams Street Library (9 Adams St, DUMBO). 6:30pm. I’ll be joined by contributors Kasia Nikhamina and Jordan White for a reading and Q&A. Register here!
QUEENS: Thursday, June 25th, Topos Bookstore (7-88 Woodward Ave, Ridgewood). Time TBD. I’ll be joined by contributors José Sanchez and Jasper Nathaniel, as well as labor reporter Alex Press. We’ll have some readings and a convo moderated by Alex, plus Q&A of course. Stay tuned for details.
Thanks to Max Pearl of Separator for the very first review: “When was the last time you laughed at work?”
If you want to hear or read me blab about the book and the newsletter, you can do that here:
